Join Proper Tunes (Musician/Composer)

• Proper Tunes is a Membership Club for musicians and composers. Currently there is silver level membership and in due course, we shall introduce gold level membership with additional features and benefits.
• Members can upload their recorded songs and the public will be encouraged to listen to and comment on them. Upon uploading, it will be recognised that title to the copyright of the song rests with the member and/or any associates. The member will automatically receive a basic document which reassures them of this.
• Silver level members can have their songs listened to and graded by  music loving members of the public with a strong interest in music ("Music Lovers"). The grading will further enhance the credibility of the song’s potential.
• In due course, a panel of up to 10 music industry professionals will grade and comment on the songs and this will be a feature of gold membership, once introduced and this will enhance the song’s potential even more.
• Every website visitor will have the opportunity to register at no charge as a Music Lover and can then listen to every song and every listen of more than 60 seconds of a song will be noted and a total of listens accumulated.
• The grading and listen total will greatly enhance the composer’s ability to seek a major publishing company contract but with the song produced as the composer and his close colleagues want it.

Proper Tunes Silver Composer Membership Benefits

1. Composer Members can upload their songs and write comments on them on the “Proper Tunes” website if they wish.
2. Composer Members can be introduced to each other via the site.
3. Composer Members can have access to legal document templates which give them the ownership and publishing rights to their songs and further legal templates that allow them to assign either in whole or in part to others. Unless a member already has his or her own document to upload, when publishing a song on the site, the title and song owner’s name will be completed in a readable and downloadable document on the site.
4. Members wishing to advertise their services to venues may do so through the site. Venues can book members to perform and the site will collect a commission for bookings.
5. Members agreeing to opt in will receive a quarterly Proper Tunes Newsletter.

If selecting or upgrading to gold membership, members may also have their songs graded by a select panel as described above.
